Antique Door Furniture Restoration
Most of what we do is from the Georgian, Victorian & Edwardian periods. The most common items we work on are rim locks & mortice locks, refurbishing, new keys and making the handles fit better. Front door furniture, letterboxes (springs, bars and bolts), door pulls, door bolts, etc.
We also have a another site Architectural Decor selling antique & period door furniture.

A set of early Victorian front door knockers and pulls from a pair of front doors.
Had to go fairly lightly on the knockers, didn't want to flatten out any of the detail.

A customer wanted a traditional Victorian style front door pull but to ring several wireless chimes in a large property.
The battery operated sensor is located in a small box that's connected to the pull via a cable. The box is accessible for when the battery needs changing, so no power cables need to go to the box.

Two mid to late Victorian carpenter rim locks.
Customer already had the keys so just a case of refurbishing the mechanism and making them look a bit nicer. We describe it as sympathetic restoration.
